Way Of Water
"Way of Water" is the biggest dome in the collection showcasing a stunning array of twenty-six butterflies, each meticulously preserved to highlight nature’s most vibrant hues.
The majority of the kaleidoscope are a group of neotropical butterflies known for their stunning, iridescent blue wings. They belong to the Morpho genus and are primarily found in Central and South America, including countries like Brazil, Mexico and Peru. These butterflies inhabit rainforests, where their dazzling wings help them evade predators by reflecting light in a way that makes them appear to disappear and reappear in flight.
The collection also includes four swallow tails; the Ulysses butterfly, named after the hero in the Greek epic The Odyssey. The symbolic and rich azure blue of the Ulysses's wings are so intensely vibrant they appear almost unreal.
