“Emerald & Ebony”showcases a captivating dome-shaped display featuring an arrangement of thirteen deep black, and shimmering green butterflies, positioned to evoke the bustling vibrancy of nature. The bold black wings, rich and velvety in texture, provide a striking contrast to the iridescent green accents.
 
The striking coloration isn’t due to pigment, but rather to microscopic scales that reflect light, a phenomenon known as structural coloration. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, the lively, organic placement of the butterflies mimics the natural movement of a flourishing habitat, creating a sense of energy and life.
